Interested in Test Knitting my pattern?
I’m looking for reliable knitters to help me spot errors, give feedback and spread the word about my latest design! If you would like to help, first of all thank you! Please read the info and fill out the form below. Test knitters are usually selected based on first come first serve rather than on experience, followers, etc. Be advised that I may not be able to respond to everyone due to volume, but I will try my best. I really appreciate the interest, thanks so much! ♡
Test Info
Test Knit Deadline: October 21, 2024. (Please do not stress about the deadline! I understand that everyday life can take away from knitting time. Any and all feedback during the process no matter what stage of completion you reach is greatly appreciated!
Skill Level: Easy Intermediate. Experience knitting in the round with circular needles is preferred.
Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (DK weight yarn can work too). The yarn I used is Pom Pom x Hobbii Garland which is a fluffy mohair and cotton blend. This yarn was provided to me by Hobbii and it is so lovely and I highly recommend it, however please feel free to use any worsted weight or DK weight yarn of your choosing, as long as you can obtain the gauge.
Test Knit Pattern: If selected for this test knit, pattern will be emailed to you via a Google Docs link. A discord chat group may also be used for testers to share info, photos etc
Some Notes About the Pattern
~ This is a pattern for a knitted beret with a cute i-cord bow on top!
~ The pattern has three sizes. The first size is intended to fit children from 5 - 10 years old, and the following 2 sizes are for everyone older than that, but please select your size based on your head circumference. Hat opening will stretch and is intended to be snug fitting. Shown in Size 2 on a 21 inch head.
~ Beret is knitted in rounds from the head opening to the crown.
~ The hat opening is made by using a folded up hem. Elastic can be inserted inside the hem to prevent the lower edge from stretching out, only if desired.
