The wide panels of garter stitch on the Gale cardigan are separated from the stockinette stitch body by zig zag cables, naturally shaping and sloping the fronts creating a “cocooned” shape when worn. Cardigan is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up and is seamed. Sleeves are picked up from the side edges and knit down to the wrist. Finally, an applied I-cord is worked along front opening edges. . This pattern was originally published in Cosmology Daruma 2022. Pattern is written in English..
